Even as a child, Pam Woodward knew she had an artist’s heart. The activity of “making” has been a daily process for her.
Pam has worked in theatre, film, and television costuming for over 40 years. She has specialized in textile design techniques, including fabric dyeing, painting, surface embellishments, and fabric manipulation. As a costume dyer and decorator, Pam has worked for the CBC, the National Ballet of Canada (Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker Suite, Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, Firebird), the Canadian Opera Company (Madame Butterfly, Norma, The Golden Ass, Idomineo), Livent (Phantom of the Opera), and Mirvish Productions (Miss Saigon, Crazy for You, Mama Mia!, The Lion King), as well as a number of feature films and made-for-TV movies.
Parallel to her work life, Pam has been active as an artist, teacher, and arts organizer.
