MAKERS' AFTERNOON

SUN SEPT 24TH | 1:30Pm to 4:00pm

People have gathered from time immemorial to create handcrafts together. This is an opportunity to continue that tradition at Georgian Bay School of the Arts. Our first afternoon will be Sunday, September 24th 1:30pm to 4:00pm.

Bring whatever projects you are working on! Punch needle, boro and sashiko, knitting, embroidery, crochet, sketching, painting, collaging, whittling, quilling, beading, pearl stringing, etc.., let’s share our creativity. This is also a great opportunity to pick up a project started in a class at GB Arts but never finished, the classic UFO (unfinished object).

The café will be your creative space, and open for snacks and beverages. Just like your own living room, but bigger! Please enjoy what is on offer and do not bring outside food and drinks unless there is a dietary issue.

Workshops will be happening in the studios, so the equipment is not available for use, bring everything you will need. There will be no teacher, but mentors will exist within the group to help move projects along.

There is no charge for this afternoon, but a donation box will be available if you want to ensure these fun afternoons can continue!
