Mixed Media Artist
Heather Murray is a mixed media artist influenced by her rural backdrop and local heritage. She is drawn to our collective histories and the often imaginary worlds of those who walked before us. Heather studied commercial art at the Ontario College of Art and Design, where she specialized in Editorial Illustration.
Making art is part of her personal fabric and began many years ago under a willow tree in a tent in her backyard. She is a visual storyteller, seeking to unravel the mysteries of our ancestors and sometimes reinventing history through her own lens. Working out of her rural Grey County home studio, she is dedicated to attending to her craft.
She also offers workshops on her process and continually searches for ways to encourage other artists to grow. Her art can be found in collections internationally as well as in her online Etsy store.
