Participants will be learning how to increase the size of their work while maintaining control of the clay. Bowl forms will be introduced. Techniques for refining and finishing vessels will help to increase the success rate of throwing. Trimming and glazing will be reintroduced and reinforced. A maximum of 5 pieces will be saved and fired.
Clay 2 is a prerequisite for the next step, Clay 3. After Clay 3, students are eligible for Open Studio time.
