GBARTS: IMPORTANT UPDATES
We have also started a fundraiser to help out financially, and are making and selling non-medical masks for $10 each.
Contact us by email, phone or Facebook messenger to order.
If you wish to support us, consider buying a mask or purchasing a membership for $100 (plus tax). Membership gives you 10% off future classes, 5% off materials and you will receive the newsletter of new classes several days in advance.
Check out our Curbside Craft Kit Projects. All the tools and materials you need to complete a masterpiece of your own in the safety of your own home. Some kits will require bringing your finished product back for firing, etching etc…..which we will endeavour to return to you as quickly as possible.
We have postponed and rescheduled our April classes, and will do the same with May. You will be contacted by email or telephone if you have signed up and paid for a class. We hope everyone will consider the alternative date for the class, or accept a gift certificate, but we are able to refund the fee if that is the only option.
Currently we are hoping to re-open in early June. We have lots of floor footage, so supplying ample personal space for students will not be a problem. We will also follow all the Grey Bruce Health Unit protocols for sanitizing and personal hygiene.
We hope everyone is safe, well and if they are able, self isolating at home. Thank you for your patience.
UPCOMING CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
Just wanted to let you know how much fun I had yesterday! You are an awesome instructor – you made everyone feel good about working with molten glass and I think we all had a great time!
I had such a lovely experience at the workshop making a silver band ring. The instruction was concise and informative and the process was a joy to partake in. I highly recommend the workshop experiences that are on offer!
The Workshops within this beautiful old building are terrific. So much information, great space and lighting, and best of all, easy, personal instruction with great outcomes and most of all, FUN!
What an absolute blast yesterday! Thanks so much for the awesome day of glassblowing. I keep telling people about how awesome it is…I wanna do it again!
My senior art students had such an amazing experience taking Morag’s jewellery workshop in the dedicated jewellery space.
The workshop provided my Specialist High Skill Major Arts & Culture students opportunities to work with new materials with teaching expertise I cannot provide in my classroom. The ability to expand students knowledge base about alternative careers outside their area of understanding was also a benefit for them. We all learned so much, and it was great fun!
I created a stained class suncatcher, and it was actually more complicated that I expected, giving me new appreciation of the process and medium. I look forward to taking more classes and making more pieces now that I have the base knowledge, and am happy that the equipment and materials I need are handy at GBARTS.
